Congratulations to Azie Aziz, Ph.D., a longtime EMERGE mentor and Patent Agent at Womble Bond Dickinson, on receiving the 2023–2024 Excellence in Diversity Award from the Houston Intellectual Property Law Association (HIPLA).
Dr. Aziz was recognized for launching the firm’s Art & Diversity Initiative, a rotating exhibition series that celebrates diverse Houston artists and cultures, and for her leadership in national diversity efforts in intellectual property law.
A passionate advocate for equity and inclusion, Dr. Aziz has mentored five EMERGE Scholars through our fellowship program and continues to serve as a role model for students pursuing ambitious goals in STEM and law.
