EMERGE stands out because of our innovative and sustainable district partnership model. Districts understand the significant value-add EMERGE brings and are so deeply invested in our program that they agree to pay a fee-for-service. Approximately 40% of our income is earned revenue from district partnership fees, as compared to an average of 5% for similar organizations across the country. Our impact extends beyond direct service: students become advocates for selective colleges among peers, and counselors gain access to specialized strategies for guiding students aiming for top universities.

EMERGE’s innovative college partnership model enriches the college journey for first-generation, low-income (FGLI) students through tailored support and resources that foster success from enrollment to beyond graduation. EMERGE prioritizes partnerships with the nation’s top colleges and universities that cover the financial need for students and have above average college graduation rates. We engage with target colleges and universities to introduce EMERGE students to their institutions through summer college trips, virtual visits, information sessions, and more, and stay connected with college admissions and persistence teams to support EMERGE students across their entire college journey.
