Congratulations to Christian Acosta, an EMERGE Scholar and senior at Eisenhower High School and Lone Star College-Houston North dual credit student, who has been accepted to Johns Hopkins University with a full-ride scholarship through early decision.
Christian credits both the rigorous Dual Credit courses and the EMERGE program with preparing him to thrive in selective college environments. Through EMERGE, he was introduced to Johns Hopkins and received support through the early admissions process. He plans to study public health, political science, or international affairs to help close equity gaps and support global human rights.
Christian is the first LSC-Houston North dual credit student at Eisenhower to simultaneously earn his associate degree and high school diploma—and his journey is just getting started.
